Joshua Grekin is a musician and music educator. Trained as a composer and jazz trumpet player, he is also proficient on piano, guitar, bass, drums, and various instruments of the orchestra. Joshua has a BA in music from the Berklee College of Music, an MA in music performance from the Manhattan School of Music and a PhD in music education from Oakland University.
Joshua is the founder and director of the Grekin School of Music, the Little Bands Academy, Grekin Music Collective, and the non-profit Musician and Artist Prosperity Project (MAPP). Joshua has recorded music with a wide range of artists, including Tony Award winning composer Jason Robert Brown (Thirteen), Emmy Award winning producer Jeffrey Lesser (Wonder Pets), and Grammy Award- nominated songwriter Chip Taylor (Wild Thing). Joshua has written music for musicals, film, commercials, bands, and of course, the Little Bands School curriculum. |
