Andrew Peck is an accomplished bassist and educator with a career spanning jazz, classical, and contemporary performance. He holds a Master of Music in Jazz/Improvisation from the University of Michigan and has studied at institutions including the New England Conservatory and Interlochen Arts Academy. His performance career includes collaborations with internationally recognized artists and ensembles, appearances at major festivals such as the Detroit Jazz Festival, Rochester International Jazz Festival, and Jazzahead in Bremen, as well as international tours across Europe and the United States. Andrew’s recording work features projects ranging from jazz ensembles to contemporary chamber music.
Dedicated to teaching as well as performing, Andrew has served on the faculty of the Jazz and Creative Institute in Kalamazoo, as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan, and as a coach for youth ensembles and summer music programs. He has taught privately and in classroom settings, working with students of all ages in the U.S. and abroad. Andrew brings to his teaching a passion for helping students develop both technical mastery and creative expression, drawing from his wide-ranging experiences in performance, recording, and music direction. |
